The purpose of this program is to give individuals the opportunity to improve their potential skills through recognized Microcredentials or Professional Training programs and increase opportunities to obtain formal employment.

TARGET GROUP & ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY INFORMAL SECTOR PROGRAM BINA KERJAYA - CAREER BUILDING PROGRAM
ELIGIBLE TO APPLY
Malaysian
Aged 16 to 40 years old on the date of application
Have an educational level of Sjil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) and below
Not having SOCSO contributions under the Employee Social Security Act 1969 (Act 4) and the Employment Insurance System Act 2017 (Act 800) for a period of 6 months from the date of application
Priority is given to individuals who are interested in transitioning from informal to formal employment and must meet one of the following criteria:
- Contribute under the Self-Employed Social Security Scheme Act 2017 (Act 789) before 1 April 2023; or
- Only doing work under the Informal Sector at the time of application
NOT ELIGIBLE TO APPLY
Not Malaysian citizen.
Individuals who are less than 16 years old and Individuals who are 40 years old and above on the date the application is made.
Individuals with a diploma level of education and above.
Individuals who have SOCSO contributions under the Employee Social Security Act 1969 (Act 4) and the Employment Insurance System Act 2017 (Act 800) for a period of 6 months from the date of application.
Individuals who are actively working under the formal sector at the time of application.
All employees in the public sector / federal & state statutory bodies / devolved statutory bodies / local authorities.

WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF INDIVIDUALS WHO ATTEND TRAINING UNDER THE INFORMAL SECTOR PROGRAM BINA KERJAYA - CAREER BUILDING PROGRAM

Individuals need to present themselves to the training program such as the approval of the approval letter (Approval Letter) within 30 days from the date of approval of the approval letter. If it is necessary to postpone the date, the participant can deal with the training provider to change the new training date.

Individuals need to inform the training provider if the participant is unable to attend the training or course that has been agreed upon with a valid reason.

Failure of an individual to attach supporting documents for not attending training for an unreasonable reason will result in the Training Allowance for the month not being paid.

Individuals who apply must submit their phone number as well as their spouse/next of kin/family who can be contacted. If the number provided cannot be contacted, SOCSO reserves the right to reject the training application
